Rotary Youth Camp is a non-profit camp that serves youth with disabilities. Our primary campers are those with physical challenges, but we also serve those with emotional, sensory, and mild mental delays. We have served youth with Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifuda, Amputees and Limb deformities, ADD/ADHD, Aspergers, Autism Spectrum, Intellectual disabilities, Blind/Visually Impaired, Deaf /Hard of Hearing, Diabetes and many other disabilities. We do not separate our camping weeks by disability, but by age. Our philosophy is to bring campers of all differences no matter how minute together, to share in an overnight camping experience.
Our staff receive hours of training pre-camp. We employ a diverse staff of varying abilities. We encourage and mentor campers to become staff members and leaders, as we believe modeling to our youth is encouraging, as well as comforting.
We are heavily sponsored by Rotary Clubs in District 6940, as well as other Clubs, organizations and private donors. Our sponsors work very hard to raise funds annually to be able to support the camp and allow our campers to attend free of charge. Rotary Youth Camp has the following goals and objectives for our campers:

Ability to develop a more positive attitude of their disability as well as other disabilities

Opportunity to have FUN in an uninhibited environment
Typical Activities include swimming, boating, fishing, archery, performing arts, creative arts, sports, games, campfires, cookouts, environmental education, cultural exploration based upon the summer’s theme. All programs and activities are targeted to the campers abilities and are paced accordingly to provide each camper with a memorable experience.
