WHAT IS ROTARY CAMP?
WHAT IS ROTARY CAMP?
Rotary Youth Camp is a nonprofit (501(c)(3) organization, which is managed by a Board of Directors, and primarily sponsored
through fundraising efforts of rotary clubs in Rotary District 6940. Together these clubs contribute more than one
third of what it costs to run camp. We also have local government, corporate and individual donors, who donate an average of $85,000 annually.
Campers attend for one week overnight, by grade level.
Rotary Youth Camp is intended for any child with disability, age 6, or completion of kindergarten, through young adulthood. Our camp enables its participants to grow in self-confidence and to experience success in physical activities and
social relationships. Counselors are matched one-to-one with campers and we have nurses on staff 24/7.
RYC is a registered Florida charity. For more information on registration or copies of our registration, contact the Florida Department of Agriculture

Diversity and Rotary Youth Camp
The leadership Staff of Rotary Youth Camp places a high value on the diversity of its staff members, in regards to not only race, but also religious, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic heritage, (dis)ability, sexual orientation, philosophy, values, geographic origin, political and other differences that may have been excluded. These differences are recognized as a core community strength. Non-violent and clean communication is discussed during training. Positive and respectful conversations and education about these difference and similarities are highly encouraged. Often times these conversations lend to our ability to really investigate and learn about our summer thematic focus.
International Staff members are always encouraged to apply. We feel that International members offer not only the campers but other staff members a firsthand experience to culture from their perspective. We have had staff in the past from Australia, Germany, and Europe. International hires are required to undergo the same screening, and checks as US citizens.
